Woven from pure silk with a characteristic crepe twist, this 8mm silk has the hallmark qualities that make silk georgette one of the most enduring fabrics in fashion and bridal design. It is lightweight and semi-sheer, with a softly pebbled surface, a beautiful fluid drape, and a refined matte finish that catches the light without any shimmer.
At 8mm (approx 35gsm), 8mm GGT sits in the lighter range of silk georgette weights, making it well suited to garments where movement and layering are key. It works equally well as a standalone fashion fabric and as a sheer overlay or lining layer against heavier silks and crepes.
