Soft touch cotton twill Viyella by Japanese textile designer Yumi Yoshimoto for Kokka. Inspired by the classic Viyella style of fabric, this twill has a gently brushed surface that feels wonderfully soft and cosy against the skin, with the refined finish Japanese textiles are known for.

The twill weave gives the fabric a subtle diagonal texture, good stability and a smooth, fluid drape. At 170gsm, it is a mid-weight fabric with a lovely balance of softness and structure. It is warm without being heavy, which makes it perfect for cooler days and seasonal layering. It is easy to cut and sew, resists fraying better than many lightweight cottons, and holds a neat, crisp edge at the collar, cuff and hem.
